Leadership Development

training

John Calvin sent trained men from his Bible Institute into France during the 16th century. He believed that trained leaders would make a deep impression on French culture. And they did! The C&MA has teamed with the AECM to develop leaders in order to impact lives with the Truth. Because God hasn’t gifted every believer to be a “pastor” we’ve seen the need to focus our training along two tracks, one which prepares an individual for pastoral ministry and the second, to train believers in the fundamentals of Christian life and service.

Track One: Pastoral Training

In an effort to raise up pastors for our churches we partner in several ways with the Institute Biblique de Geneve (IBG) in Switzerland. We offer scholarship assistance and we take part in IBG’s program of mentoring young men for service and C&MA/AECM personnel make up part of their visiting faculty. God has blessed the AECM with both pastors and church workers who have come out of IBG.

Track Two: Lay Leadership Training

In February of 2005 several of our French pastors were able to travel to Canada to see how leadership training was done there and to see if it could be incorporated into our system here in France. The C&MA USA has assigned Al and Carol Clason to come to France and serve in the role of consultant and mission representative in this important effort.
